A Sad Anniversary
It was about this time, one year ago today, that I got the phone call. It was way too early in the morning from the person calling to be anything but bad news.
It was even worse than that.
One year ago today Jim Christina passed away in his home in Idaho. Tuscany Bay Books is a part of the legacy he left behind in literature and in music.
It has been a very long year since. Much has happened. Most of it good. The path Tuscany Bay Books is on looks bright and clear ahead now.
To be honest, in the days that immediately followed his death, that wasn’t always the case. But we got through it and I think he’d be very happy to see where we are just one year later. He’d be even happier to see where we’re going.
I wish he was here to see it for himself. And I didn’t want the day to go by today without telling him how much we all miss him here.
Usually we are telling you about one of our books and why you should be getting your copies to read. We think we publish the kind of books and stories readers are longing for.
But today I think we’ll ask you to do something else too. Spend a little extra time with a loved one or a close friend today. Those moments are to be just as cherished as the ones you spend lost among the pages of a great story.
We’ll always be here, as will our books. Sadly, the same cannot always be said about those we are closest to in life.
